Victoria officials report progress, on‑budget status for Public Safety Headquarters

City staff and contractors told the Victoria City Council on Oct. 15 that construction of the new Public Safety Headquarters is proceeding quickly and remains within the agreed guaranteed maximum price (GMP).
City project staff said the GMP for construction is $47,216,307 and that soft costs bring the total project to about $52 million. AGCM, the city’s owner’s representative, reported that the buyout process is roughly 97% complete and that any buyout savings and unused contingency will return to the city under the current contract terms.
