The Montgomery City Council voted on Oct. 21 to call a public hearing for Dec. 10, 2024, at 6 p.m. at Montgomery City Hall to consider adoption of building-permit fees.
Staff explained that state legislation (House Bill 1922) caused some previously adopted permit fees to expire after 10 years, so the council is calling a hearing to receive public comment and consider readoption or revisions. The hearing will allow staff to present fee schedules and allow residents and stakeholders to comment before any fee adoption ordinance is considered.
Council member Casey moved to call the hearing; the motion passed by voice vote. The city will publish required notice and accept comments at the Dec. 10 public hearing.
