"It is an economic, growth stimulus, to have adequate park facilities inside of city limits," he said, arguing the funding approach is commonly used across Texas.
Unidentified Speaker 3 clarified the actions approved by the board are limited to establishing committees to gather facts and make recommendations; they do not approve construction or spending. The board appointed Patricia Parker, Kathy Brandon and Benjamin Drury to the dog-park committee and named Benjamin Drury, Tony Marlow (Marlowe in transcript) and Kitty Wertz for the parking-lot committee. Both resolutions passed unanimously.
