The Public Utilities Commission of Nevada adopted permanent regulations proposed to conform provisions of NEC Chapter 704B with Senate Bill 547 of the 2019 Nevada Legislature.
Hearing Officer Crano presented docket 19-06029 and explained the proposed regulations address several phases of implementation: designation of capacity in the IRP process (Phase 1), licensing of providers of new electric resources (Phase 2), applications for capacity (Phase 3), and provisions for previously granted 704B customers rejoining bundled service (Phase 4). Crano recommended adoption of the proposed order and attachments; the commission voted to adopt the regulations as permanent and issue the proposed order.
Commissioners expressed appreciation for the work reflected in the procedural history; no commissioner moved to set the item for additional proceedings.
