At its meeting the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada approved routine procedural and staff items with no substantive debate.
Chair Hilly Williamson moved to approve minutes from Oct. 8 and Oct. 21, 2024; the motion was seconded and approved. The Office of General Counsel's items 3a and 3b were approved on a motion and unanimous vote. The commission deferred staff item 4B, and accepted staff recommendations for items 4A, 4C, 5A and 6A without discussion. Commissioner Brown asked a brief clarifying question about agenda item 7A after the consent approvals, noting a likely typographical discrepancy in the briefing – the record listed the plant footprint as "5.778 acres" and she said it appeared the correct figure should be 5,778; a staff member identified in the record as 'Ryce to lehi' confirmed it should be 5,677. The commission then approved item 7A and directed staff to issue the appropriate order.
Why it matters: These routine approvals implement administrative and legal housekeeping for the commission and move multiple dockets toward their next procedural steps. The deferral of 4B leaves that docket to be addressed at a future meeting.
