PUCN accepts Southwest Gas 2023 conservation report and approves 2025–2027 plan with conditions

Commissioner Cordova presented a consolidated item for dockets 24‑06020 and 24‑06037 covering Southwest Gas Corporation’s 2023 conservation and energy efficiency annual report and its proposed conservation and energy efficiency plan for 2025–2027. Cordova said parties filed a stipulation recommending acceptance of the annual report and proposed modifications to the forward‑looking plan.
The stipulation also acknowledged a requirement for Southwest Gas to file an integrated resource plan (IRP) with the Commission on or before Oct. 1, 2025; Commissioner Cordova noted associated regulations were still being finalized. The Commission voted to accept both stipulations and to grant the applications as modified.
Vote and procedure: Commissioner Cordova moved to accept the stipulations and grant the applications as modified; Chair Haley Williamson seconded. The motion carried with aye votes recorded and the Commission issued the order accepting the stipulations.
Compliance and next steps: The order requires filings and modifications outlined in the stipulation, and the IRP filing deadline was set for Oct. 1, 2025.
