The Copperas Cove Public Library has been accredited for fiscal year 2025, Library Director Kevin Marsh told the council on Oct. 15, saying the library met key criteria including hours of service, collection size and a required percentage of recently published materials. "The important news is that we are accredited and we are maintaining that accreditation," Marsh said.
Marsh described several accreditation measures: at least one item per capita in the collection, a percentage of items published within the last five years, and a minimum of 40 open service hours per week (the library is currently open 48 hours). He…
