The Farmers Branch Arts & Culture Committee on Tuesday introduced a wave of new members, elected a slate of officers and agreed to postpone final decisions on where to install three recently delivered public art pieces until the committee can review photos and visit proposed locations.
Bonnie Newman, the committee’s staff liaison, opened the meeting by welcoming new volunteers and explaining staff support. "We're very excited to have you all join us," Newman said, thanking members for volunteering their time. New members who introduced themselves included Amy Cade, a Farmers Branch resident and dance-studio owner; Tad Berryman, an alternate; Chris Stevenson, a longtime resident and former stagehand; Rita Ford, a business representative; Brianna (college representative); Dawn Valentine, Fine Arts coordinator; and Jennifer Evans, who joined remotely because she was ill.
