City staff confirmed the legislative priorities packet and a condensed postcard version to be used during the council’s Austin visit reflect the adopted language. Council members said they intend to revisit building‑materials standards locally if state rules change to allow city control. The council asked staff to return for follow-up discussion in the coming months if needed.
