The Nevada Commission on Ethics voted Oct. 16 to approve its fiscal year 2024 annual report, accepting minor typographical and tense edits and a suggested note to reflect public input received during prior sessions.
Executive Director Armstrong said the data and charts in the packet have been verified and the report will be published after final formatting. Commissioners praised the report’s format and information: one commissioner said, "I like the report" and another thanked staff for their work.
Armstrong also reported operational updates: regulations recently approved after a second hearing, changes that allow newly certified officials to seek advisory opinions prior to taking office, an internal policy for rejecting anonymous complaints with chair/vice‑chair notification, and ongoing recruitment for an associate counsel position. He noted federal grant extensions for Nevada Ethics Online that temporarily reduced general‑fund pressure and listed upcoming meetings, including Nov. 13 in Reno.
The commission directed staff to publish the annual report after final formatting and data checks.
