Sharyland Independent School District trustees voted to adopt a comprehensive district improvement plan (DIP) after a presentation on the district’s needs-assessment process and four strategic priorities.
Dr. Hinojosa told the board the DIP grew from committee work, stakeholder input and data collected July through September and that campuses distilled their priorities into one-page summaries. He said the district has 36 performance objectives and 211 strategies aligned under student excellence and achievement, employee experience, community connections and fiscal responsibility. Trustee Andrew Riddle moved to approve the DIP; Trustee David Keith seconded, and the motion carried by voice vote.
