Wagner’s City Council and the Wagner Public Works Authority met in separate special sessions Dec. 30 and approved final payments and contracts tied to two infrastructure projects: Maple Park water tower improvements and wastewater treatment plant headworks work.
A city staff member told the council the Maple Park tower has been repainted and passed final inspection. “It’s been been painted. It’s all done. Had the the final inspection,” the staff member said. The council approved pay application No. 1 (final) for $235,000 for the contractor listed in the agenda as McGuire/Maguire Iron Incorporated, to be paid from a Wagoner County ARPA grant, and also approved an $18,200 invoice from Infrastructure Solutions Group LLC for inspection and engineering services. Both items carried on unanimous roll calls.
Council and authority members then turned to wastewater work tied to a larger ARPA-supported project. The council accepted a materials bid for the wastewater treatment plant headworks improvements (WAG-23-03/WAG-23-02 materials) with a recommended award for $695,950 to the company listed in the record as Haines/Haynes Equipment Company LLC; staff said the headworks project is part of a $2,000,000 matching ARPA grant through OWRB. The council also accepted a low construction bid of $2,345,600 from Darius Contractors for the headworks construction. Both contract approvals were adopted unanimously.
