County staff flags tire purchase for new dump trucks; commissioner highlights giving match

"When those trucks come in, they often come in with tires that are more of a street tread ... they are not holding up very well," Jeff, a county staff member, said. He said the tire purchase is expected to be a one‑time expense but will be costly and will appear on the consent agenda next week.
Separately, a commissioner reported on a Chamber Coffee hosted by the Franklin County Community Foundation and noted a November matching program for donations to local nonprofit organizations. The commissioner named recipients eligible for the match: Hope House, the Franklin County Historical Society, United Way, Life Care Center, the Ottawa Library and the Franklin County Emergency Temporary Shelter Association and encouraged donations to take advantage of the doubling opportunity.
No formal votes resulted from these announcements; the items were informational or slated for future consent‑agenda action.
