Franklin County approves consent agenda and renews state 'setoff' agreement

Christy Hillaker, the county staff member who introduced the item, said the change was procedural and not a fee increase: "All it was was they've asked that we re sign it because the last 1 that they have was from 2014," she said, and recommended continuing to use the program because it is "a source of income for us."
Commissioners moved and seconded approval of the consent agenda; Commissioners Saldemeyer, Weymeyer, Dickinson and Chair Harris each voted "Yes." The same four commissioners voted "Yes" to approve the municipal qualification certification and municipal agreement.
The consent agenda also referenced a $10,500 item; the transcript did not specify the purpose of that amount. The clerk noted a separate election procedure to resolve a four‑way tie in a Richmond council race: one commissioner drew a name from four verified envelopes, and the clerk said Jake Aches "will get the certificate of election," which the clerk will mail to him.
