At its Dec. 2 meeting, the Kootenai County Board of Commissioners approved a string of routine items, including the consent calendar and weekly payables, and took action on several departmental requests.
The board approved the consent calendar and voted to pay $1,095,131.75 in weekly payables. It approved a pass-through agreement form from the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections covering funds for CBAS and SUDS programs, following review by legal and the auditor's office. Commissioners also approved purchase of a vehicle for the 9-1-1 director, with $29,708 charged to the 9-1-1 fund for outfitting and $40,010 from the county budget to cover required police equipment.
The board approved a property-owner-initiated annexation (Myers) into the Northern Lakes Fire Protection District after the fire district held a properly noticed meeting and recommended annexation. Bids for an airport runway rehab and lighting project were opened and sent to legal and airport staff for review; the board approved a motion to acknowledge the bids.
All recorded votes during the meeting were unanimous. The board heard no public comment before adjourning.
