The Kossuth County Board of Supervisors approved two drainage repair requests and discussed consolidation of land-lease paperwork to ensure the correct landowner signatures.
Supervisor (Unidentified Speaker 1) described two drainage repair requests: one in Hebron Township (Section 21) for Dan Behnken involving a large hole and a 22-inch tile and another in Wesley Township (Section 1) for Greg McNeese with a field hole and 12-inch tile. "We need a motion for supervisors to handle their request," Speaker 1 said. A motion was made by Wagner and seconded by Garman; the motion carried by voice vote.
On land leases, staff clarified a lease number (108) belongs to Carter rather than Kyle and agreed to consolidate the paperwork so the actual landowner's signature will be with the correct file. The board also discussed making sure single leases that are part of the same parcel are kept together to avoid confusion.
What happens next: County staff will file the drainage repair approvals and consolidate the land-lease documents for signature and recordkeeping.
