The Kenai City Council used unanimous consent to adopt multiple resolutions at its Dec. 3 meeting.

Resolution 2025-67 authorizes execution of a quitclaim deed with the Kenai Native Association to acquire the right-of-way for Wildwood Drive (authorized purchase price $200,000; funds appropriated in the Wildwood Drive project fund). City staff and council discussed DOT coordination and prior appraisals; staff will prepare deed exhibits and record the deed.

Resolution 2025-68 adopts an alternative allocation method for the FY2026 fisheries business tax distribution for Management Area 14 (Cook Inlet). Council discussion noted the program’s declining dollar amounts in recent years; members asked staff to consider whether the staff time invested in participation is proportionate to the payments received.

Resolution 2025-69 authorizes a contract award for architectural services covering several city facilities and projects, including senior center entry and reroof, Vantage Point kitchen/bath and elevator upgrades, animal control reroof and City Hall HVAC and accessibility reviews; staff said proposals were solicited and two bids were received. The council approved the contract award by unanimous consent.
