Vaughn said the course included professional‑style assignments (resume, mentor‑teacher email) and literary analysis work; she closed by quoting B.B. King: "The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you." The board presented Vaughn with a certificate for her capstone work.
The recognitions and presentation were part of the meeting’s student‑focused portion and required no board action.
