The Freehold Township School District board approved a slate of personnel and related policy items moved by the personnel policy and communications committee.
Mr. Williams substituted to present the committee report and moved a set of actions that included the first reading of Policy 4126 (terms and conditions of employment for nonaffiliated support staff); retirements; listed resignations and adjusted resignation dates; new employment; rescinds of employment; establishment and adjustment of start dates; changes of assignment and salary adjustments; temporary changes of assignment; district honoraria; and additional compensation items, including new teacher academy and training stipends.
The board took the motions as a slate and approved them by roll call. When asked for roll-call responses, board members present voiced assent (recorded responses in the transcript include Missus Brand, Dr. Casey, Mr. Crosby, Mr. Corrugulo, Miss Lamerson, Mr. Williams, Missus O'Sullivan and others responding "yes"). The chair then announced the action as official and congratulated the new hire.
The committee said members would push specified regulations and policies to first reading so the full board would receive more information before the next meeting.
Next steps noted in the meeting: staff will circulate the policy materials for first reading and will finalize documentation for the personnel actions.
