Marnelli said the decline limits students' access to career‑path opportunities in emergency services and weakens the pipeline of volunteer and professional emergency medical personnel for nearby communities. He asked the district to publicize the program in school communications, coordinate with guidance counselors, participate in career fairs and hold joint planning meetings with local EMS and fire partners.
Board members asked how the speaker preferred a response; Marnelli left contact information for follow‑up. The board acknowledged the request and said the administration would follow up with the Fire Association to discuss outreach strategies.
