Lackawanna County reviews October community corrections caseload and finances

The Lackawanna County board reviewed its community corrections report for October on Nov. 4, noting caseload and program finances.
Speaker 2, who presented the community corrections report, said adult house arrest included 99 individuals and juvenile house arrest included 17. He reported October revenues of $39,771.86 for adult house arrest and $3,250 for juvenile house arrest, for a total of $43,021.86, and said program expenses for the month were $74,877.86.
Speaker 2 told the board the program recorded 30 completions, 7 violations and had 3 outstanding warrants. He described the program’s fiscal lines as: overtime at 34%, expenses at 83% and revenue at 70% for the reporting period.
Moderator (Speaker 1) invited questions; none produced substantive changes to the figures presented. Moderator (Speaker 1) moved to accept the report, the motion was seconded and the board recorded its assent by voice vote. The motion carried.
The board did not take additional action beyond accepting the report. The presentation drew no formal directives to change program operations during the meeting.
