MONROE COUNTY — At a regularly scheduled meeting on Nov. 19, 2025, the Monroe County commissioners approved a slate of routine but consequential administrative items including contracts, budget adjustments, capital purchases and authority reappointments.
The board awarded a five-year contract for county real estate tax mailers (covering 2026–2030) to Spring Hill Laser for $63,768.08 and authorized an annual postage escalation of 2.5 percent. The award followed a single bid opening announced at the meeting.
The panel also ratified several vendor and service decisions. Commissioners terminated the county’s snow-removal contract with EF Posinger & Sons effective Nov. 17, 2025, and put a short-term replacement in place with Strausser’s Nature’s Helpers to cover remaining 2025 needs for the public service administrative center parking deck and the jail parking lot.
