The Cherokee National Treasure Advisory Committee reported to the Culture Committee that its annual treasures banquet will take place on Dec. 11 at 11:00 a.m. Committee member Jane Austie invited committee members to attend, said the banquet will recognize treasures — especially elders — and asked staff to circulate the details.
Austie asked that the banquet information be sent to Gail for calendar distribution and confirmed the information is included in the committee report. She also expressed gratitude for recent community food assistance, thanking the Cherokee Nation and naming Sean Clinton and Godolia Corp for helping elders and others.
The committee did not take formal action on the advisory report; it noted the date for the calendar and moved on to routine business.
