The board approved the district’s Student Success Act student investment account grant agreement totaling $6,444,082.40.
Speaker 3 described that the agreement covers multiple integrated grants — high-school success, the student investment account, and early-literacy efforts — that are part of the district’s integrated plan. "Attached in our it, is our agreement totaling in the amount of $6,444,082.40 for all of those grants that are tied into that," the district presentation said.
Melanie moved to approve the grant agreement; Susan seconded. The chair called for a vote and the motion passed unanimously with five members in favor.
The approval is a formal action required to accept and implement the Student Success Act funds; district staff indicated the award will be used across several initiatives named in the agreement and that further program-level details are in the attached integrated plan.
