Council reconsiders portions of multi-parcel property sale, holds remainder for one week

A motion to strike four items from the resolution passed and the remainder of the bill was held for one week to allow district council members time to consult with constituents and review buyer documentation.
The action reflected requests from district council members to use land-bank or other tools to prioritize productive local ownership rather than default sales to the highest bidder. URA staff had earlier described several dispositions as conveyances of small, adjacent parcels (driveway, access way, landscape berm) to owners already maintaining surrounding property.
Next steps: Staff will provide additional purchaser information for the held parcels and return the bill to committee after one week.
