GreeleySchool District No. 6 board swears in new directors, elects officers by acclamation

GREELEY, Colo. — The GreeleySchool District No. 6 Board of Education met in a special session Nov. 18 to administer oaths to newly elected directors and to select its officers, President Natalie Mash said at the start of the 3:03 p.m. meeting.
Judge Mark Gonzales administered the oath of office, and each director repeated the oath on the record, including Kyle Bentley, Weston Edmonds, Idina Lemos Garcia and Robyn Rogge. "I, Kyle Bentley, do solemnly swear," Bentley said during his oath.
The board then moved through organizational business required under Colorado law, beginning with approval of the meeting agenda. An initial motion to approve the agenda passed by roll call, recorded as 5-0.
Nominations for president yielded a motion to nominate Natalie Mash and a subsequent motion to declare her president by acclamation. The board took a roll-call vote with seven members recorded as voting aye; the motion carried 7-0, electing Mash president. Members then nominated and declared Kyle Bentley vice president by acclamation; that motion also carried 7-0.
The board approved appointments for administrative officers: Amy Lemon as board secretary, Megan Sponse as board treasurer and Lindsay Richard as assistant secretary. A single motion encompassing the three appointments passed by roll call, 7-0. The board also voted to continue use of the current signature plate; that motion carried 7-0.
President Mash thanked Judge Gonzales and outgoing members for their service, welcomed the new directors and said the board looks forward to addressing substantive district business at its next meeting. The meeting was then adjourned.
