Board tables proposal to let bank use Lincoln County Falcons logo on debit card

The Lincoln County Board of Education tabled discussion of a proposed debit-card program that would permit a bank to use the Lincoln County Falcons emblem on a co-branded debit card and formalize a student advisory board relationship.
Mister Miller described the history of the effort to permit the bank to use the district emblem and said he had expected the item to be covered by existing naming and advertising policies. He asked the board to review the materials and vote at a later meeting. "All we lack is voting, and we could do it next time," he said. The proposal was tabled to allow board members time to examine the paperwork and policy implications, and the motion to table was approved by voice vote with Miss Thomas recorded as second.
Board members noted the student advisory board is already established; Miller said the bank representatives were enthusiastic about moving forward but that board approval of branding use should follow policy review. No final agreement or contract was approved at this meeting.
