The proposed framework assigns weight to strategic-plan goals (35%) and the Arkansas School Boards Association standards (50%), with required Learner Act targets accounting for an additional portion. A motion to approve the 2025-26 framework was moved and seconded and carried by voice vote, with recorded "no" votes from some members who said they preferred a board-driven work session prior to adoption.
Board members also discussed timing and whether midyear and final evaluations provide opportunities to refine targets; several urged scheduling a governance work session soon. The board recorded the approval of the framework and noted that a midyear feedback checkpoint and an end-of-year evaluation will follow established procedures.
