The City Commission approved administrative items to keep City Hall operations moving while the building is under restoration.
Paige Perez, the city’s asset manager, explained two lease agreements at 2020 Ponce de Leon Boulevard: Suite 102A (3,597 sq ft) to house finance staff and Suite 1200 (6,870 sq ft) for the city manager, city attorney and city clerk. Both leases start 12/01/2025, carry a base rent starting at $53 per square foot and include annual escalators and a one‑three year renewal option. Commissioners approved both leases after staff confirmed rent commencement and abatement terms.
Separately, the commission approved resolution H1 to increase the contingency for FG Construction LLC (Consiglione Phase 3 median improvements) by $500,000 to cover unforeseen items. City staff stated any unused contingency reverts to the general fund.
Mayor Vince Lago thanked procurement and project staff for progress on long‑running public works projects and reminded residents of temporary disruptions during construction.
Outcome: motions to approve both leases and the contract contingency passed by unanimous vote.
