SPCSA announces $5.5M sponsorship refund, $1.3M NDE allocation and monitoring changes

The agency also plans to combine risk‑based monitoring and site visits when applicable to reduce the number of visits schools receive; the speaker acknowledged the change is a heavy lift involving multiple SPCSA teams and said the agency does not expect perfection during the transition.
Finally, the speaker alerted school leaders to a temporary pause affecting some federal programs, specifically English‑language‑learner and immigrant programs, and said an explanatory email was sent to leaders earlier the same day.
