SPCSA: multiple grant deadlines, school climate surveys opening Oct. 27 and ESY funding reallocated

SPCSA staff announced FY26 Title III EL and immigration grant applications due Oct. 6, Title II subaward applications due Oct. 1, that school improvement surveys open Oct. 27–Dec. 19 (per NRS 385A.560 and Senate Bill 81), and that ESY funding will be reallocated during true-ups rather than a separate grant.
Host (Speaker 1) told attendees that FY26 Title III EL and FY26 immigration grant applications are available in GMS and due Monday, Oct. 6.
Speaker 1 also reminded schools that FY26 federal Title II Part A and state Title II Part A subaward applications are due in GMS by Wednesday, Oct. 1.
On school improvement plans, the host said annual plans must include measures on school climate that incorporate staff and student survey data, citing NRS 385A.560 and Senate Bill 81. "They're going to open on October 27 ... and they will close December 19," Speaker 1 said of the student and staff surveys.
On ESY funding, Speaker 1 said there will not be a separate ESY grant this year; instead the ESY allocation will be folded into true-ups and schools must plan to incorporate ESY costs in their next grant application.
The SPCSA directed schools to check GMS for grant application materials and to incorporate ESY costs into planning given the funding reallocation.
