SPCSA warns schools to verify Oct. 1 enrollment snapshot; last edits allowed through Oct. 21

Speaker 1 told attendees that Nevada Department of Education validation day — the Oct. 1 enrollment snapshot — is the official source used by the NDE, the SPCSA and others for reporting and certain funding allocations.
"Tonight there will be one last sync by NDE from Infinite Campus to the validation-day tool. So please ensure data in IC are as accurate as possible," Speaker 1 said, and added: "This affects your funding. It affects all the things. So it's gotta be right."
Speaker 1 warned that after Oct. 1 the overnight sync from Infinite Campus will stop and schools may perform manual edits in the validation-day tool only through Oct. 21; any manual edit must reflect a status that was true on Oct. 1 (for example, a student whose IEP began Oct. 20 would not qualify for retroactive changes on the Oct. 1 snapshot).
The SPCSA urged school data managers to follow the agency's validation guidance and the associated Epicenter task due Oct. 21 to ensure accurate reporting and appropriate funding calculations.
