The commission approved two operative items linked to infrastructure and intergovernmental services.
Contract 2 (Task Order 2026‑04 with Po Boys): Staff summarized the scope as upgrades to Oconee County’s Veterans Park pump station and related piping to accept flows from the new Rocky Branch Road pump station and gravity flows from future Parkside development, convey those flows to Barber Creek sewer collector and ultimately to Cause Creek Water Reclamation Facility, and allow decommissioning and demolition of the Rocky Branch LAS to clear the Dawson Park site. The presented contract amount was $927,490.35, and the request included necessary budget amendments for that contract up to the contract amount. The board moved and approved the contract by voice vote.
Intergovernmental Agreement with Bogart (municipal court services): County staff described an agreement to provide municipal court services for Bogart using county magistrate facilities, magistrate judge and clerks; the agreement includes a 60‑day termination clause. Commissioners approved the IGA by voice vote.
Both approvals were framed by staff as procedural and necessary to advance park construction and intergovernmental cost‑sharing objectives; the contract vote directly supports infrastructure needed to decommission the LAS at Rocky Branch.
