The Rice Lake Area School District’s curriculum committee reported on place‑based learning initiatives and efforts to deepen ties between the high school and local employers. James Luecke, a contracted consultant, outlined work with high school staff and students that included an AP history project visiting the Pioneer Museum and using AI tools to transcribe cursive letters for classroom study.

Board members encouraged follow‑up reports on the place‑based learning outcomes and on student leadership pilot results.
