It also selected option 1 from Bridal Lutz to address air-handler issues at Octorara High School after construction altered two rooms, choosing to tie a unit into the original system rather than add a second air handler.
For athletic facilities, the board approved a weed-control contract with Windview Athletic Fields for the softball field at $2,100 and approved option 3 for infield corrections with Windview at a cost of $37,500. The facilities committee also discussed a larger infield renovation estimate of $37,900 and indicated any overage would be covered by a contractor bond from the original contractor.
The board approved Joseph Maudet and Son Painting LLC for catwalk painting at the sewer plant at a cost of $7,600. A proposed stadium walkway item was postponed to gather property-line information before returning for future consideration.
During the facility committee report, members also noted a committee-level discussion about terminating the contract with McClure for the district solar panel project; the committee reported the intent but no formal board action to terminate the contract was recorded in the public meeting minutes.
All motions on these projects passed by voice vote.
