Developer change and construction update for Emerson Place subdivision

Dave Weinstock, who has taken on the development role for Emerson Place, and project engineer Dan Merricken updated the Town of Millis Select Board on construction progress at the subdivision.
"Just to, introduce myself, my name is Dave Weinstock," Weinstock said, describing his move from a background role into leading the project. Dan Merricken reported, "All of the stormwater management systems are installed. All the stormwater basins are installed. They're all functioning well." He said the contractor will install the sidewalk off Ridge Street before the end of the season and that May Road should be 100% complete by year-end, after which as-builts and street-acceptance plans will be submitted.
Speakers discussed inspection scheduling and coordination with consulting engineers after the meeting chair noted prior instances in which inspectors received late notice. Merricken said the same contractor will complete the remaining work and that after the current sidewalk work the site will be idle until next spring when the team will resume more aggressive construction.
Board members expressed appreciation for progress and asked the developer to be proactive about consultant fees and inspections so work is not delayed. The board accepted the update and moved to subsequent agenda items.
