Board approves Community Health Center contract, OKs policy updates and teacher contracts

Separately, the board moved and passed VSBA policy updates. The board also voted to reimplement valedictorian and salutatorian recognition beginning with the class of 2029; chair members described the phased implementation as intended to be fair to current students.
Administration asked the board to authorize issuing teacher contracts, which will include a previously approved 3% salary increase and be distributed electronically; the contracts will be issued "contingent upon local, state, and federal funding," officials said. The board moved and approved issuing the contracts.
