Resident Don Gasparri asked the council for detail on an earlier Forum parcel price, noting what he read as a $265,000 figure for under an acre and comparing that to local commercial per‑acre comparables. Gasparri said he wanted clarification whether temporary construction easements or time limitations affect the stated price. The council did not change the resolution at the meeting; staff committed to meet with Gasparri afterward to explain documents and to correct an inconsistency between the legal description exhibit and the revised paper.
Council members asked whether higher appraisal results would exceed previously budgeted land acquisition amounts. The city manager (Speaker 5) said the roundabout is part of a multimillion‑dollar capital project and that the city builds contingencies into project budgets, but cautioned that unknowns in construction can affect total cost. Staff confirmed at least two parcels are required and said additional resolutions for the remaining parcels will appear at subsequent council meetings.
The council moved, seconded and approved the resolution by voice vote; no oppositions were recorded on the transcript. Staff said they would remain after the meeting to answer remaining questions and to correct the legal exhibit for the record.
