"All that's in place is one way that you would keep that from happening," Speaker 8 said, describing efforts to reduce recidivism through aftercare and community supports.
Speaker 2 moved the application motion on the record: "I make a motion that we approve the sheriff's department to apply for the RSAT grant for $475,111.30 with a $75.25 match." The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
Next steps: staff will complete and submit the grant application and, if awarded, will return with budget and staffing details for commission review.
