Marino said teachers who apply and are vetted would receive stipends and the district prefers co-writing teams from multiple campuses.
Alex (S13) presented a grant-funded early childhood equipment purchase for Proviso West: 420 'real care' baby simulators and associated charging equipment purchased with CTE and Perkins funds, described as replacement of 2016 models, with an estimated cost just under $40,000. Trustees asked about warranties, maintenance, and contracts for student use; staff said there are warranty and upkeep needs and that they would provide further details.
Staff (S12) also described a Credit Recovery Task Force to evaluate online recovery partners (district currently uses Edgenuity). The task force is drafting selection criteria, a scoring tool, and plans to invite vendors to present; staff emphasized the administrative lift required to switch partners and that staying with the current partner remains an option.
