Osage County commissioners on Dec. 2 approved several personnel and procurement actions, including a payroll hire, an appointment to the county‑appraiser position and issuance of an audit RFP.
Personnel: The commission moved to approve a personnel/payroll action form to hire Sarah Robertson as a motor vehicle clerk at $16 per hour with a start date of Dec. 8, 2025. The motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.
Appraiser appointment: After interviewing candidates — including Carl Beller, who described decades of appraisal experience and a mentoring approach for local staff — a commissioner moved to hire "Carl Miller" at the requested rate and to approve a contract; the motion was seconded and passed. Commissioners instructed the candidate to forward a proposed contract to staff for review (the transcript records both the name "Carl Beller" during the interview and the motion to hire "Carl Miller"; commissioners asked that the candidate submit a contract for county counsel/staff review before finalization).
Audit RFP and posting: The commission approved issuing an RFP for fiscal‑year 2024 audit services with a response deadline of Dec. 31 and discussed posting locations (county website, newspaper and job boards such as Indeed). The commission voted to approve the RFP issuance.
Payments: Commissioners approved two batches of bills by voice vote: $36,314.31 (batch SO, 12/02/2025) and $208,331.67 (batch dated in December).
