"This number is really hard to beat," the presenter said when describing the pricing and warranty package, noting staff also checked other suppliers such as CDW and Tech Data.
A board member asked whether the district ever puts such purchases out to bid; staff said they had solicited market quotes and found the state contract provided competitive pricing with the warranty and license bundle. The motion to approve the purchase was moved, seconded and carried by voice vote.
What's next: Procurement will proceed under the state contract and devices will be distributed to elementary schools as planned.
