Family members, including a relative named Janae, were invited forward to receive the engrossed copy of the resolution and multiple legislators described Walsh as a dedicated veteran and public servant.
Colleagues recalled Walsh’s work establishing veterans memorial displays and his decades of civic service. The resolution calls for a moment of silent tribute and for the clerk to transmit a copy of the engrossed resolution to the family. The legislature then continued with its agenda.
