The Robbinsdale Area Schools board unanimously adopted the district's Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for fiscal year 2024–25 after a presentation by CFO Kristen Hoheisel. Hoheisel told the board the lower expenditures in 2024–25 compared with 2023–24 were driven by one‑time equipment purchases in the earlier year, not by increased day‑to‑day operations. "We had less expenditures in the 2425 fiscal year compared to the 2324. In 2324, monies were used to buy equipment," she said. The board recorded unanimous roll call approval of the audit; the CFO noted the audit must be adopted by Nov. 30.
The board also approved a resolution to accept more than $9,000 in community donations. Director Bowman moved acceptance and Director Bassett seconded; the motion passed by roll call. In addition, the board voted (voice vote) to finalize second readings for policies 210, 211, 305, 515 and 709.
These routine actions were taken early in the meeting before the evening's longer study‑session discussion on the statutory operating debt plan and facility consolidation. The board asked the administration to post the audit report and the updated policies to the district website and to acknowledge donors publicly.
