Commission authorizes Riley County Community Corrections to apply for specialty court funding

Hefford reported October intake numbers for juvenile services and adult supervision case counts, and noted that a prior four-year Bureau of Justice Assistance grant for the district’s recovery court is scheduled to end on March 31, 2026. The commission moved, seconded and authorized the department to submit the FY2026 specialty court application.
The authorization permits staff to prepare and file the application; the transcript does not show whether the county committed matching funds.
