Polk County names watershed managers and youth advisory board members

The Polk County Board of Commissioners approved two key appointments during its regular session.
On a motion from Speaker 3, the board appointed Sean Berkey and Todd Peterson to the Sand Hill River Watershed Board of Managers after reviewing applications and an attendance record provided by the watershed. The motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.
Earlier in the meeting, the board also approved a slate of student appointees to the county youth advisory board. Speaker 10 presented new and returning students, asking the board to adopt a resolution to appoint them; Speaker 7 moved and Speaker 6 seconded, and the resolution carried.
Both items were procedural appointments approved on voice votes. Staff will update rosters and provide orientation materials for the appointees.
