Pennridge board unanimously approves curriculum proposals, contracts, tenure recommendations and assistant superintendent—s contract renewal

During its Nov. 17 meeting, the Pennridge School District board moved through committee reports and approved multiple routine and personnel items with unanimous votes.
Curriculum committee recommendations approved new course proposals including AP Seminar 10 and AP Comparative Government; a recommendation also approved adoption of FOSS pathways for grades 3—5 and Mystery Science kits for K—. The motion to approve those course proposals was seconded and passed, recorded as an 8-0 vote.
The facilities committee reported approval of obsolete items (items a—c) and the finance committee moved to approve contracts including agreements with Christmas City Studio Photographic Services, Grad Images, Lehigh Valley Events, Scholastic Book Fairs and the Museum of the American Revolution; the finance motion passed 8-0.
The personnel committee motioned to grant tenure to Jeffrey Swartz and Victoria Triglia; the motion passed unanimously. The board also approved multiple K— supervisory job descriptions and then voted to renew the employment contract for assistant superintendent Dr. Palmer after a superintendent statement summarizing his work, including an enrollment and facility-utilization study and administrative system updates. The contract renewal motion was seconded and passed with a vote reported as 8 to 0.
Student services approved an overnight trip for three seniors and one staff member to attend the American Society for Gravitational and Space Research Conference in Phoenix, Arizona (Dec. 3—2/07/2025) and approved a K— five-year guidance plan; both motions passed 8-0. Policy committee items (first readings and PSD policies on emergency preparedness and school security personnel) also moved forward with unanimous support.
The board took no contested votes at the Nov. 17 meeting; nearly all committee recommendations were approved by voice vote with recorded tallies of 8-0 or 9-0 where noted.
