The Riviera Beach Utility Special District on Tuesday approved Resolution 36‑25UD authorizing a piggyback purchase of lime from Loyce LLC in an amount not to exceed $725,075, using the City of Tamaracagreement as the procurement vehicle.
Utility director Joshua Neiman told the board the purchase covers annual allocation of lime for the plants softening units and is a routine operational chemical purchase for FY2026. Staff explained that chemical prices have risen and that the piggyback allows the district to secure supply under an existing contract for the final year of that agreement; staff intends to issue an RFP for FY2027 purchases.
The resolution passed by unanimous vote. The clerk recorded the motion and the board voted in favor with no dissent.
