On Nov. 13 the North Bend School District board authorized the superintendent to finalize remaining terms and execute a transaction with Bonneville Power Administration for a 10.1‑acre surplus parcel, subject to applicable state law and approval by the board chair.
A board member moved the resolution and a second carried the motion. Administration briefed trustees on negotiations — including a counteroffer that sought increased sale price, a trail contribution, a road‑maintenance agreement and limited construction‑vehicle access during school drop‑off and pick‑up hours. The motion instructs the superintendent to conclude negotiations with the approval of the board chair and to report finalized sale terms to the full board.
During the roll call one trustee voiced opposition on record, citing that the property is within their neighborhood. The motion otherwise passed. Administration said final contract language was still being worked through with BPA and legal counsel and would be presented to trustees after negotiations concluded.
