- Motion: approve 2026 meeting schedule and consent agenda (minutes, tax refund, designated agent form, DWR flood resiliency grant amendment, Early College utility easement, property sale resolution, tax services agreement). Outcome: motion carried unanimous.
5) Board appointments and reappointments
- Motion: appoint Rob Ross to fill an expiring seat on the county board. Outcome: motion carried unanimous.

6) Contract amendment
- Motion: approve amendment to DFI contract to clean up obligations tied to housing project work and terminate contingent payment provisions. Outcome: motion carried unanimous.
7) Closed session
- Motion: enter closed session pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. 143-318.11(a)(3) to consult with the county attorney to preserve attorney-client privilege. Outcome: motion carried unanimous; on return the board said it approved the prior closed-session minutes, consulted with counsel and took no public action.
